Raboutou réalise la 4ème ascension de Creature from the black lagoon 8C+ – Shawn Raboutou’s claims the 4th ascent of Creature from the black lagoon V16

Fils des légendes de l’escalade Robyn Erbesfield et Didier Raboutou, Shawn fait désormais partie des meilleurs grimpeurs mondiaux. En juin, il avait répété « The finnish line » 8C/C+ à Rocklands et an avril “First Ley” 9a+ à Margalef. Shawn a réalisé vendredi la quatrième ascension de « Creature in the black lagoon » à RMNP (Colorado, USA) pour son premier 8C+ bloc. Cette ligne technique en toît (avec des coincements de genoux) de Upper Chaos Canyon connue comme le « Projet 90 noir » a été libérée par Daniel Woods en 2016 après deux semaines d’effort, puis répétée assez vite par Dave Graham. Jimmy Webb avait réussi la troisième ascension l’an dernier.

Son of climbing legends Robyn Erbesfield and Didider Raboutou, Shawn Raboutou is one of the world’s best climbers . In June he repeated « The finnish line » 8C/C+ in Rocklands and in April “First Ley” 9a+ in Margalef. Shawn just did the fourth ascent of « Creature from the Black Lagoon » in RMNP for his first V16/8C+. The technical roof line (with tricky kneebars) of Upper Chaos Canyon known as the Black 90 Project was first climbed by Daniel Woods in 2016 after 2 weeks of attempts and repeated by Dave Graham shortly after.Webb did the third ascent last year.
