Grimpeuse vivant en Patagonie, Cintia Percivati vient de réaliser son premier 8c+ et sa voie la plus difficile en escalade sportive à 40 ans avec “Cosi Fan Tutte”, la king line de la Piscineta à Rodellar (Espagne). Chose remarquable, Cintia n’aura eu besoin que de 3 séances cette année, après une séance de découverte de la voie en 2019. Un accomplissement pour la grimpeuse argentine, la première à réaliser une voie si difficile. Cintia commente sur les réseaux :
“Pour poursuivre mes rêves j’ai dû laisser derrière moi ma zone de confort que j’ai quittée sans regret. Ce n’est pas une plainte, c’est simplement une appréciation, je suis heureuse de vivre dans une camionnette à moitié aménagée, loin du confort de ma maison à Bariloche, loin de ma famille mais avec le sentiment d’être épanouie. Je suis fière de dépasser ma limite sportive à plus de 40 ans, bien que j’apprécie la maturité, une certaine jeunesse est derrière moi et mon corps le sait !”
C’est la 6ème ascension féminine de la voie après Sasha DiGiulian, Aleksandra Taistra, Matilda Söderlund, Brooke Raboutou et Andrea Cartas. Dans la vidéo ci-dessous, Cintia réalise “Osho” 8b+ à Bariloche.
A climber from Patagonia, Cintia Percivati just ticked her first 8c+ and her most difficult route in sport climbing at the age of 40 with “Cosi Fan Tutte”, the king line of Piscineta in Rodellar (Spain). Cintia only needed 3 sessions this year, after a route scoping session in 2019: impressive. An achievement for the Argentinian climber, the first woman in her country to complete such a difficult route. Cintia comments on social media:
“To pursue my dreams I had to leave behind my comfort zone which I left without regret. It’s not a complaint, it’s just an appreciation, I’m happy to live in a half-converted van , far from the comfort of my home in Bariloche, far from my family but with the feeling of being fulfilled. I am proud to exceed my sporting limit at over 40 years old, although I appreciate maturity, a certain youth is behind me and my body knows it!”
It is the 6th female ascent of the route after Sasha DiGiulian, Aleksandra Taistra, Matilda Söderlund, Brooke Raboutou and Andrea Cartas. In the video above, Cintia performs “Osho” 8b+ in Bariloche.
