Premier stop du trip US de Jules Marchaland, Simon Lorenzi et Mejdi Schalk : « Defying Gravity », un gros panneau de 6 mètres de haut à Thunder Ridge dans le Colorado : un dévers impressionnant et généreux sur en granite peu adhérent marqué par un furieux crux très pur dont les images font le tour du monde depuis plus d’une décennie (ouvert par Daniel Woods en 2013) : un mouvement de pan Güllich entre 2 strates avec un ballant scorpion monstrueux à contrôler ! Après avoir hésité longuement sur les méthodes, Mejdi a fini par choiri la méthode no foot et à conquérir le bloc après deux semaines sur place. Simon a aussi réussi le bloc, tandis que Jules est passé très proche. Next stop pour la bande : Vegas, avec sûrement les musts de Red Rocks « Return of the Sleepwalker », « The Nest » ou encore « Shaolin » en projet pour la bande !
First stop on Jules Marchaland, Simon Lorenzi, and Mejdi Schalk’s US trip: “Defying Gravity,” a huge 6-meter-high wall at Thunder Ridge in Colorado: an impressive and generous overhang on a glassy granite marked by a furious, very pure crux, images of which have been circulating around the world for over a decade (opened by Daniel Woods in 2013): a campus move between two rails with a monstrous scorpion swing to control! After much hesitation over the betas, Mejdi finally chose the no foot one and conquered the boulder after two weeks on place. Simon also succeeded, while Jules came very close. Next stop for the gang: Vegas, with surely the testpieces of Red Rocks “Return of the Sleepwalker,” “The Nest,” and “Shaolin” around the corner for the crew! Stay tuned!
