Le 9b de Claret (Hérault) ouvert par Jules Marchaland le printemps dernier « Le Bruit de l’acid » vient de connaître une seconde ascension en la personne d’Alex Megos, qui confirme le niveau. La voie est située un peu plus à gauche de la classique des lieux « Guère d’usure ». Le crux de la voie est particulièrement spectaculaire : un grand jeté croisé vers une bonne pince main droite. Sur près de 25 mouvements, les difficultés de la voie peuvent être décrites comme suit : un 7c+ d’approche, un mauvais repos, puis 8B bloc couronné par un 7C+ bloc. Le jeté, dernière difficulté du 8B bloc vaudrait à lui seul 7C sur un seul mouvement, après une mise en place de quelques mouvements valant 7C+ bloc… Tout un programme…Le mutant allemand signe une nouvelle réalisation majeure chez nous en France après la première de « Ratstaman Vibrations » ou encore « Le Grand Saccage ». La voie n’a pas résisté longtemps à Alex, qui a mis 4 jours à la plier. Voici ce qu’il en dit sur les réseaux.
« Après avoir vu la photo et la vidéo de Jules Marchaland réalisant la première ascension, j’ai su que je voulais gravir cette voie. Le mouvement clé semblait trop beau pour être vrai et je voulais savoir s’il était vraiment aussi beau qu’il en avait l’air sur la vidéo. ET IL L’EST ! Après quatre jours d’efforts, une bonne brise le jour J, j’ai réussi le mouvement depuis le sol et je me suis battu pour atteindre le sommet. C’est sans aucun doute l’un des meilleurs mouvements que j’ai jamais réalisés sur une voie ! Merci Jules pour l’inspiration et la motivation. »

The 9b route in Claret (Hérault) opened by Jules Marchaland last Spring, “Le Bruit de l’acid,” has just seen its second ascent by Alex Megos, who confims the grade. The route is located slightly to the left of the classic “Guère d’usure.” The crux of the route is particularly spectacular: a large cross-dyno move to a good right-hand pinch. Over nearly 25 moves, the difficulties of the route can be described as follows: an 7c+ approach, a poor rest, then an 8B boulder topped off with a 7C+ boulder. The dyno, the last difficulty of the 8B boulder, is worth 7C on its own, after a few moves worth 7C+ boulder… Quite a challenge… The German mutant achieved another major feat here in France after the first ascents of “Ratstaman Vibrations” or “Le Grand Saccage”. The route didn’t hold out for long against Alex, who took four days to complete it. Here’s what he had to say about it on social media:
« After seeing the picture and the video of Jules Marchaland doing the FA I knew I wanted to climb this route. The crux move seemed too good to be true and I wanted to know if it really is as good as it looked on the video. IT IS!!
4 days of effort, a good breeze on the send day and I stuck the move from the ground and fought my way to the top .
For sure one of the best moves I’ve ever done on a route! Thanks Jules for the inspiration and motivation! »
