Dai Koyamada ouvre un nouveau 8C bloc – New 8C boulder opened by Dai Koyamada

Une des légendes japonaises, Dai Koyamada, 41 ans, démarre fort l’année avec la réalisation de son chantier du moment à Ryutosen dans la province de Nagasaki. Après une petite blessure à l’épaule et un peu de repos, Dai a réussi à concrétiser l’enchaînement du gros panneau de “Gekirin” qu’il évalue autour du 8C, le plus dur problème de l’île de Kyushu. Il l’avait défriché et commencé à le bosser en septembre dernier. Selon le site Hardclimbs, c’est son 44ème ascension au dessus du 8B+!

One of the japonese legends, Dai Koyamada  (41) is off a great start this year with the first ascent of an extreme boulder in Ryutosen (Nagasaki land), Japan. After a minor shoulder injury, Dai is back and just did the link of “Gekirin”, the grade of which he thinks revolves around 8C, the hardest problem of Kyushu island. He has found it and started to work the boulder in September. According to Hardclimbs website, it’s his 44th ascent up to 8B+ boulder!

Sent a project at Ryutosen in Nagasaki today! It’s really unbelievable. Sometimes I can demonstrate extreme power unexpectedly. It might be today is the day or it’s because of succeeding weight control or just taking enough rest after shoulder injury or all of them. Not sure but I’m very happy to make it anyway. It’s a great start of new year. It’s ‘Gekirin’ (逆鱗) and I think V15~ but need more time to fixed. I can say it’s the hardest in Kyushu.
