Le printemps dernier, les sudistes Adrien Boulon, Florence Pinet et Gérome Pouvreau se sont rendus dans le Nord de l’Irlande du Nord accompagnés par le photographe Raphaël Fourau. L’équipe est partie à la découverte de Fair Head proche de Ballycastle pour découvrir un magnifique spot de trad et de bloc.
“L’Islande avait comblée notre soif de dépaysement, de paysages lunaires et d’escalade atypique. Nous avions poussé loin le curseur de l’inconfort et de l’insolite. L’Irlande du Nord nous semblait un moyen de rééquilibrer les curseurs au profit de l’escalade…c’était le plan.” FAIR HEAD 2017. Last spring a team of frenchies with Florence Pinet, Gerome Pouvreau and Adrien Boulon went in Northern Ireland joined by French photographer Raphaël Fourau. The plan was to discover the area of Fair Head, close to Ballycastle, for trad climbing and bouldering. Soon an article on Petzl website and here with an Irish Fanatic Destination.
“Iceland had filled our thirst for change of scenery, lunar landscapes and atypical climbing. We had pushed far away the cursor of the discomfort and the unusual. Northern Ireland seemed to us a way to rebalance the sliders for climbing … it was the plan.”
