Jakob Schubert flashe Catalan witness the fitness ! – Catalan witness the fitness flash by Schubert!

Décidément en grande forme, Jakob Schubert a continué à grimper à Santa Linya après “Stoking the fire” cette semaine. Il a  réalisé “Catxasa” 9a+ avant de bosser “Neanderthal” 9b qui n’a toujours pas vécu de répétition depuis sa première ascension par Sharma en 2009. Aujourd’hui, alors que son vol retour pour l’Autriche était prévu en soirée à Barcelone, le champion autrichien s’est rendu à la Cova del Ocell et a réalisé une ascension flash (!) du toît à arquées de “Catalan witness the fitness” 8C, qu’il ramène du coup à 8B+ facile !

After his successful ascent of “Stoking the fire”, Austrian Jakob Schubert has striked again in Santa Linya this week, sending “Catxasa” 9a+ and working “Neanderthal” 9b, a route which has seen no repeats since Sharma’s first ascent in 2009. Today, before his flight to Austria, he was in Cova del Ocell and has flashed “Catalan witness the fitness” 8C. “This boulder has been called fb 8C in the past but as nice as a 8C flash sounds I can’t agree, guess it is more like low end 8B+.“
