Cette voie dure classique des lieux, dont la première ascension revient à Tony Lamiche (2006), combine un 8A/+ bloc au 8c de “Deltaplane man direct”. Réaction.
– C’est ta première voie dans le 9 ? Tu avais fait quoi avec un harnais en falaise avant ?
Oui c’est ma première voie dans le 9 et la seule que j’ai essayée ! Avant ça j’ai pas fait beaucoup de voies, seulement un 8c dans le Saussois, un 8b à Entraygues et 2-3 8a !
– Tu l’avais bossée l’été dernier il me semble ? 2 séjours ? Que retiens-tu de cette expérience ?
Je l’avais travaillé 4-5 séances l’année dernière et j’étais tombé au deuxième crux, en haut, 4 fois mais vraiment loin d’enchaîner; cette année j’ai très vite refait tout les mouvements et ça l’a fait lors de ma première séance d’enchaînement !
– La voie et son bloc d’entrée doivent bien te convenir. Te vois-tu faire des voies plus longues et rési ?
Oui c’est une voie qui me convient plutôt bien avec un début en 8A/+ bloc suivi d’un très bon repos puis d’un 7B+ bloc, donc une bonne voie en endurance de force parfaite pour un bloqueur. Non pas pour l’instant, j’ai un objectif qui est orienté bloc, mais dans un futur lointain c’est quelque chose qui me chaufferait vraiment !
– Tes objectifs pour cette fin d’été ?
Pour la fin d’été je vais rester une semaine encore à Briançon où je vais sûrement essayer “Le Pamphlet”, qui est un projet à Entraygues, et après je pars 2 semaines et demi à Magic Wood où j’ai repéré deux 8C qui me chauffent bien !

– It’s your first route of the grade? What’s your rockclimbing pedigree?
Yes, it’s my first route in the 9th grade, and the only one I have tried! Before that, I only climbed a few routes, an 8c in the Saussois, another 8b in Entraygues and 2-3 8a!
– You worked on it last summer. So you needed 2 trips? What will you take away from this experience?
I tried it 4-5 sessions last summer and fell in the second crux 4 times but I was far from the send. This year, I reclimbed the moves pretty quickly and sent it during my first session from the ground!
– The route and its bouldery start seem to suit you. Are you motivated by longer and more resistant routes in the future?
Yes, this route suits me well with an 8A/+ start followed by a good rest and a 7B+ boulder problem, so a perfect short power-endurance route for a boulderer. At the moment, my goals are bouldering-related but in the long term I’ll be more psyched about sport climbing for sure.
– Your main goals for the end of the summer?
I will stay one more week near Briançon, I want to try “Le Pamphlet” which is a project in Entraygues and then I will leave for Magic Wood in Switzerland, where I want to try a couple of 8C boulders.
