Après deux saisons, 5 voyages et 30 journées dans la voie, l’Allemand Yannick Flohé vient de répéter une ligne phare de Céüse : « Ratstaman Vibrations« . Assez courte mais ultra rési, la voie avait été équipée par Chris Sharma en 2012, puis libérée en 2022 par Alex Megos.
Flohé en signe la première répétition et propose une légère hausse de la cotation, de 9b à 9b/+, arguant avec humour du fait qu’Alex Megos est plus fort qu’il ne le pense. Il s’agit pour Yannick de sa voie la plus dure, et aussi de la première fois qu’il s’investit dans un tel projet à long terme.
De son côté, Megos vient pour sa part de répéter « Iron Curtain » à Flatanger, un 9b de Ondra datant de 2013. Lors de son propre enchainement en 2022, Seb Bouin avait utilisé des kneepads et décoté la voie à 9a+. Megos est d’avis d’y ajouter un slash, avec 9a+/b, trouvant « Iron Curtain » plus corsé que les autres 9a+ de la grotte, même équipé de kneepads lui aussi (sachez tout de même que Seb est bien plus spécialiste des genoux qu’Alex).
L’Allemand a également rentré dans son carnet de croix une rare répétition du très teigneux « Kangaroo’s Limb », 9a+, ouvert par Adam Ondra en 2013 et répété seulement par Stefano Ghisolfi en 2023.

After two seasons, five trips and 30 days on the route, German climber Yannick Flohé has just repeated a flagship route in Céüse: ‘Ratstaman Vibrations’. Fairly short but extremely intense, the route was bolted by Chris Sharma in 2012, then freed in 2022 by Alex Megos.
Flohé is the first to repeat it and suggests a slight grade increase, from 9b to 9b/+, humorously arguing that Alex Megos is stronger than he thinks. For Yannick, this is his hardest route so far and also the first time he has committed to such a long-term project.
For his part, Megos has just repeated ‘Iron Curtain’ in Flatanger, a 9b route established by Ondra in 2013. During his own ascent in 2022, Seb Bouin used kneepads and downgraded the route to 9a+. Megos believes it should be given a slash, with 9a+/b, finding ‘Iron Curtain’ more challenging than the other 9a+ routes in the cave, even when using kneepads himself.
The german also ticked the very bouldery 9a+ ‘Kangaroo’s Limb’, freed by Adam Ondra in 2013 and only repeated by Stefano Ghisolfi in 2023.
