Un nouveau 8B+ pour Isabelle Faus – A new V14 by Isabelle Faus

La discrète grimpeuse américaine Isabelle Faus a réalisé la semaine dernière son 6ème 8B+/V14, “The Emasculator”, à Camp Dick Cave, Colorado. C’est son troisième 8B+ en un mois, après Crème de la Crumb Sit et Sinwav, deux blocs situés également au Colorado.

The Emasculator est un enchaînement original de 40 mouvements qui se rapproche d’une traversée : il rajoute 12 mouvements à Circle Jerk, 8B/V13 ouvert par Daniel Woods. Ces derniers jours des violents feux de forêts se sont propagés dans la zone, engendrant la fermeture du parc national où se situe le secteur ainsi que l’évacuation de milliers de personnes.

The discreet American climber, Isabelle Faus send last week her 6th 8B + / V14, The Emasculator, at Camp Dick Cave, Colorado. This boulder is her third 8B + in a month after Crème de la Crumb Sit and Sinwav, two boulders also located in Colorado.

The Emasculator is a new sequence of 40 moves is similar to a traverse: it adds 12 movs to Circle Jerk, 8B / V13 opened by Daniel Woods. Violent forest fires have spread this last days in the area causing the closure of the national park where the sector is located as well as the evacuation of thousands of people.

“Did a thing last week, in the camp dick cave… gonna call it “the emasculator” V14 adds a 12 move traverse into circle jerk… prolly v11 to a rest, into a v12, another rest and then exit in a V8, hard to grade honestly. But certainly harder than circle jerk. 40 moves. More importantly everything is on fire… The national park and forest are closed, and thousands of people are evacuated… Stressful time on the front range right now… Ready for winter, let it snow… like everyday please… swipe to see the Cal-Wood fire come down the hill.”
