Cet hiver, Alberto a jeté son dévolu sur « El Bon Combat », la King line de Chris Sharma sur le conglomérat de la Cova del Ocell en Catalogne qu’il estime plutôt à 9a+ comme Jackob Schubert. Après quelques jours de travail cet automne, Alberto a du patienter 2 mois en raison du mauvais temps avant de pouvoir concrétiser, en 6 sessions en tout, pour sa première voie dans le niveau. Between training sessions and competitions, 2021 Spanish Olympic champion Alberto Gines Lopez takes the time to head out into the great outdoors to tackle some challenging routes. This winter, Alberto set his sights on “El Bon Combat,” Chris Sharma’s King Line at Cova del Ocell in Catalonia, which he grades at 9a+, just like Jakob Schubert. After a few days of work this fall, Alberto had to wait two months due to bad weather before he could finally complete the route— in six sessions total — marking his first climb at that level.
