Le bloqueur français Clément Lechaptois vient de réaliser la première ascension d’un des vieux projets du site helvète de Fionnay dans le Valais, le départ bas du classique « Permanent Midnight » (8A+ debout), rajoutant 3 grands mouvements hyper puissants sur inversées. Clément avait commencé à bosser le bloc en 2022 et a réalisé l’affaire fin mai, proposant 8C+ pour cette ligne sur l' »un des plus beaux blocs de la région » pour Dave Graham, pionnier de la première heure. À noter que ce départ bas peut aussi être connecté avec « Solitary Daze », la variante de sortie plus dure ouverte par Clément il y a 4 ans (8C) , pour un enchainement futuriste, d’une difficulté inouïe ! En bonus, Clément empochera la même journée la seconde ascension de « Big Nose » 8C, ouvert en septembre dernier par Dylan Chuat, une journée mémorable ! Il ne reste plus qu’à se coller au gros chantier du bloc !
French gun Clément Lechaptois has just completed the first ascent of one of the old projects of the Swiss area of Fionnay in Valais, the low start of the classic « Permanent Midnight » (8A+ stand), adding 3 big hyper powerful moves on underclings. Clément started working on the boulder in 2022 and completed the project at the end of May, proposing 8C+ for this line located on « one of the most beautiful boulders in the region » according to Dave Graham, pioneer from the very beginning. Note that this low start can also be connected to « Solitary Daze », the harder exit variant opened by Clément 4 years ago (8C), for a futuristic sequence of incredible difficulty! As a bonus, on the same day Clément ticked the second ascent of « Big Nose » 8C opened last September by Dylan Chuat, for a rather memorable outing! All that remains now is to attack the big project there!
