On se rappelle de la perf de Laura Rogora avec « Erebor », un temps annoncé 9b/+ avant un consensus à 9b, c’est de nouveau à Arco en Italie que la plus grosse perf féminine en falaise jamais réalisée vient d’être conclue. La franco-américaine Brooke Raboutou vient de réaliser « Excalibur », le surpuissant et court 9b+ de Stefano Ghisolfi, réalisant la 3ème ascension de la voie après Stefano et Will Bosi. Brooke a essayé la voie sur un premier séjour fin 2024 avant de revenir sur place pour essayer depuis quelques semaines. Déjà lauréate d’un 8C bloc en 2023 avec « Box Therapy » qu’elle s’était permis de décoter, médaillée d’Argent aux JO de Paris 2024, Brooke semble au sommet de son art. Merci pour ces leçons. Dès le début, tu m’as attirée — quelque chose dans ton intensité implacable. Notre relation a évolué au fil du temps. Certains jours, nous étions en harmonie sans effort, d’autres nous nous disputions, nos voix s’élevaient. Pourtant, la façon dont tu m’as poussée était sans précédent. Tu m’as forcée à affronter mes peurs, à me détacher de mes attentes et à nourrir chaque parcelle de croyance que je pouvais trouver. Tu m’as appris à tutoyer le doute jusqu’à ce qu’il commence à douter de lui-même. Tu as tout demandé, mais tu m’as donné encore plus en retour.

We all remember Laura Rogora’s performance on “Erebor”, once announced as a 9b/+ before a consensus of 9b, and it’s back to Arco, Italy, where the biggest women’srockclimbing performance has just been achieved. Franco-American Brooke Raboutou just completed “Excalibur”, Stefano Ghisolfi’s short and powerful 9b+, making her the 3rd ascent of the route after Stefano and Will Bosi. Brooke tried the route on a first visit at the end of 2024 before returning to try it a few weeks ago. Already sending an 8C boulder in 2023 with “Box Therapy”, which she took the liberty of downgrading, and silver medallist at the Paris Olympics 2024, Brooke seems to be at the top of her game!
