Brooke Raboutou réalise Trieste 8B+ – Brooke Raboutou sends Trieste V14 (+video)

Après un premier trip sur place au début de l’année, Brooke Raboutou empoche à nouveau un bloc dur avec le panneau très à doigts de “Trieste” 8B+. Ce classique de Red Rocks (Nevada, US) avait été ouvert par Paul Robinson en 2014, il est situé au secteur de First Creek Canyon. Il aura fallu 3 jours à Brooke lors de second séjour, empochant le bloc au dernier essai de la journée.

Cette dernière commente sur Instagram :
“Bon sang, cela fait du bien de rétablir en haut de ce bloc qui m’avait poussée dans mes retranchements au niveau physique et mental il y a un an. De retour, je me suis sentie plus forte, j’ai pu mettre les états d’âme et la pression de côté, contrairement au précédent séjour. J’adore me dépasser et me perfectionner pour ce genre de choses, c’est un processus que je veux continuer à entretenir. Au projet suivant !”

C’est déjà le 3ème 8B+ bloc de Brooke qui avait déjà réalisé “Muscle Car” et “Jade”. Et l’histoire n’est peut-être pas finie puisque le départ assis de “Trieste” (8C) est potentiellement dans son viseur…

After a first trip to the area at the beginning of 2021, Brooke Raboutou just completed one of the hard classics of Red Rocks, Nevada, with “Trieste” V14 opened by Paul Robinson in 2014. The boulder went down on her last try of the 3rd day. Brooke wrote on Instagram:

“Damn, it feels good to stand on top of a boulder that pushed my physical and mental limits a year ago. Coming back, I felt much stronger and was able to let go of expectations and lighten the pressure I put on myself the previous trip. The process of pushing myself and growing from it is one I will forever admire and continue to chase. Onto the next project!“

It’s her third V14, Brooke having already climbed “Muscle Car” and “Jade”. The story is maybe not finished because “Trieste” has a sit start in the 8C range which could be her next target. Wait and see…
