Championne. L’ancienne compétitrice et championne belge Muriel Sarkany, 43 ans, est toujours active en escalade, s’entraînant à fond et s’étant reconvertie en coach. Muriel demeure toujours très affûtée avec la réalisation de son second 9a aujourd’hui avec la classique de conti de Margalef, “Era vella”. C’est le second 9a de Muriel après “PuntX” à Déversé en novembre 2013.
Voici en exclusivité sa première réaction :
“Au printemps 2015, j’étais curieuse d’aller voir les mouvements de cette King Line et si c’était jouable par rapport à mon gabarit (ndlr : Muriel mesure 1m54) . Cette voie m’a toute de suite beaucoup plu même si j’ai du faire certaines sections à ma sauce comme le crux…
Et puis j’y suis retournée cette année en avril/mai, j’étais déjà très proche de la faire ce printemps mais malheureusement je me suis fais un peu mal au dos et j’ai dû abandonner pour revenir cet automne.
En revenant mi-septembre je ne savais vraiment pas à quoi m’attendre au niveau de ma forme et surtout des conditions qui sont extrêmement importantes pour réaliser cette voie. Mais finalement même avec des condis pas extraordinaires c’est passé.”
Champion. Ex belgian competiton female climber, Muriel Sarkany, 43, is always in the game, training a lot and coaching. Muriel is back in shape with the send today of her second 9a with the stamina monster (50 mètres) of Margalef, “Era Vella”. It’s her second 9a after “PuntX” in Déversé in November 2013.
Here is her first comment after the send : “Spring 2015 I was curious to try this King Line, if it was possible for my size (note : Muriel is 154 cm long). I have been psyched since the beginning by the route, even I should work a harder sequence in the crux due to my size. Then I came back in the route this spring, I was close but unfortunatey I couldn’t send it because of a back injury. I gave up and decided to go back this fall. When I arrived mid-September I was expecting not too much of my shape, and the conditions are important for sending the route. But despite not so good conditions, I finally clip the anchor!”
