Alors que les conditions sont encore bonnes dans le Frankenjura, l’allemand Thomas Dauser en profite pour réaliser son premier 9a avec “The Elder Statesman”. Après avoir réalisé la version en 8c+ appelée “The Last Rites” il y a quelques semaines Thomas en profite pour tenter la variante directe qui commence par un 8A bloc bien corsé sur une petite réglette et un monodoigt sur 3 mouvements pour ensuite repartir dans le 8c+ bien à doigts et très résistant d’une trentaine de mouvements et ainsi ouvrir son compteur dans le neuvième degré.
While conditions are still good in Frankenjura, German Thomas Dauser took advantage of this moment to send his first 9a with “The Elder Statesman”. It starts with a 8A boulder problem in 3 movements with a crimp and a mono then continues in “The Last Rites”, an 8c+ very sustained that Thomas has given a repeat few weeks ago. The add of the direct version start offers him his first 9th grade route.
