Il était déjà venu en décembre, s’essayant notamment à “CRS” 9b, Daniel Jung est revenu à Mollans dernièrement et réalise la première ascension de “Jamais deux sans toit” , une ligne équipée par Seb Bouin estimée par l’allemand entre le 9a et le 9a+.
Voici son ressenti : “C’était mon dernier gros projet, “Jamais deux sans toit” 9a+ ou juste 9a ? J’ai voyagé deux fois à Mollans et je l’ai réalisé par chance lors de mon dernier séjour. C’est une super ligne raide avec un bon pas de bloc au début, des mouvements puissants sur pinces, un repos correct et un crux très dur en toît. J’ai cassé un pouce de pince à cet endroit et la prise s’est transformée en une arquée plate dure à tenir. J’ai passé quelques journées rien qu’à être capable de tenir cette prise correctement pour le mouvement suivant. A la fin, le travail a payé et je suis heureux d’avoir grimpé cette ligne. je ne suis pas trop sûr de la cotation, J’ai lutté pas mal dedans au premier trip, il faisait assez chaud pour essayer. Je l’ai fait vite au second séjour avec des conditions plus cool. Donc je pense qu’au final cela peut valoir 9a.”
He was here last December, aso trying “CRS” 9b, Daniel Jung was back in Mollans, France and recently did the first ascent of “Jamais deux sans toit”, a line bolted by Seb Bouin. For the grade proposition, The German hesitates between 9a and 9a+. Here are his thoughts :
“This was my last big project “Jamais Deux Sans Toit” 9a+ (or just 9a?). I travelled two times to Mollans to work it and luckily send it during my last trip.
It’s a super nice steep line with a good boulder in the beginning , powerful moves on pinches, than an ok rest and after the a hard crux in the roof. Here I sadly broke a thumb part of a pinch, so it became a very wired sloppy sidepull crimp. I spend some days just to be able to get this hold well to move on. At the end the work payed off and I’m happy to have climbed this nice line.
I’m not very sure with the grade. Even if I was struggling a lot on the first trip, it was quit warm, I did it fast on the second trip when it was much cooler. So I think at the end that it could be also 9a.”
