A la bonne heure ! Au début de l’année, Sean Bailey clamait avoir grimpé la voie la plus dur d’Amérique, « Duality of Man » à Dry Canyon dans le Sud de l’Arizona, pour la 4ème proposition mondiale en 9c après « Silence », « DNA », « B.I.G », rejointe ce printemps par Jorge Diaz-Rullo et son « Cafe Colombia ». Un processus long de 4 ans pour une voie qu’il décompose en un 9a+, un mauvais repos, et un 8C bloc.
On avait déjà vu quelques images de la voie grâce à l’excellent Vlog de Jakob Schubert, voici les images consacrées à cette première ascension, pour la postérité !

Earlier this year, Sean Bailey claimed to have climbed the hardest route in America, “Duality of Man” in Dry Canyon, Arizona—the fourth 9c ascent in the world after “Silence,” “DNA,” and “B.I.G.”—a list joined this spring by Jorge Diaz-Rullo and his “Cafe Colombia” . A long 4 years process for a route he cuts into an 9a+, a bad rest, and an 8C boulder.
