Victor Guillermin a réalisé cet une répétition du célèbre 9a des Gorges du Loup, “TTT”, vidéo sous le coude où il s’interroge si ce n’est pas le meilleur 9a de France ? Nous lui avons alors demandé de se justifier !
“Aha, c’est un avis parmi tant d’autres, je suis loin d’avoir essayé tous les 9a de France, donc je ne suis pas 100% objectif… Pourtant, après avoir passé du temps a discuter avec des gens qui ont fait la voie, et qui ont fait d’autres 9a, tout le monde est d’accord pour dire que cette ligne est géniale. D’abord, ce qui rend cette voie si particulière, c’est sa gestuelle, les mouvements sont vraiment ludiques et variés, notamment le crux, un ballant vraiment dur et impressionnant. L’effort est aussi bien réparti: une première moitié qui alterne entre pas de blocs et décontractions, puis après le jeté, une fin en 8a+ bien rési, où il faut rester solide dans la tête… Toutes les filières musculaires sont mises a l’effort dans “TTT”. Et en plus, c’est 100% naturel, pas une prise de taillée, ça c’est un bon point pour les puristes, et pour autant, les prises ne sont pas tranchantes, c’est très agréable pour la peau (sauf une corne à prendre en pommeau qui fait mal à la main). Des prises agréables, quand tu essayes plusieurs séances d’affilée une voie c’est un vrai bon point. La localisation de cette voie rend le tableau encore plus beau : Déversé est vraiment magnifique, et il n’y a pas de marche d’approche, et toujours quelqu’un avec qui grimper si on vient seul… Tous ces petits détails, assez communs, sont en fait assez rares quand réunis dans une même voie…. C’est pour ça que pour moi, “TTT” est mon plus beau 9a, et très surement un des plus beaux de France !”

“Aha, that’s my opinion among many, I’m far from having tried all the 9a in France, so I’m not 100% objective… However, after spending time talking to people who have done the route, and who have done other 9a’s, everyone agrees that this line is great. First of all, what makes this route so special is its moves, which are really playful and varied, especially the crux, a really hard and impressive swing. The effort is also well distributed: the first half alternates between bouldering cruxs and rests, then after the dyno, an 8a+ resistance finish, where you have to stay solid in the head… A very complete route! And what’s more, it’s 100% natural, not chipped, which is a good point for purists, and for all that, the holds aren’t sharp, so they’re very pleasant for the skin (except for one horn to take in the pommel, which hurts a little bit the hand). Soft holds, when you try a route several times in a row, that’s a real plus. The location of this route makes the setting even more beautiful: Déversé is truly magnificent, and there’s no approach step, and always someone to climb with if you come alone… All these little details, quite common, are in fact quite rare when combined in a single route…. That’s why, for me, “TTT” is my most beautiful 9a, and surely one of the most beautiful in France!”
