New hard ascent by Sarah Kampf in Frankenjura

  • 31/05/2019

Sarah Kampf, known as Sarah Seeger (birth name) is one of the girls the most active in Frankenjura. Aged 38, mother of 2 kids, Sarah continues her way, climbing hard in her local area with the send of “Headcrash” 8c lotaed in Wasserstein close to Obertrubach, an area known for his incredible 8a route “Misery” in a natural arch. “Headcrash” is a 15 meters overhanging pillar opened by Werner Thon in 2003 with the 8b+ grade. After a hold broken, Fabian Cgristof climbed it again in 2002 and proposed 8c. With a fmily busy life, Sarah mostly worked the route alone on a static rope. It allowed her to conquer the crux, only 2 moves for catching a 2 fingerpocket.

In the past, Sarah climbed in Frankenjura Steinbock” in 2009, “Odd fellows” in 2010, “Roof warrior” in 2017 and classical “Battle cat” 8c/c+ last year. It’s a nice longevity after a decade hard climbing here!
