Seb Bouin s’offre Bulle d’air 9a – Seb Bouin conquers Bulle d’air 9a

Le falaisiste français rajoute une nouvelle première ascension en 9ème degré à sa besace avec “Bulle d’air”, un 9a situé dans un spot secret de l’Hérault (près de Montpellier). Après avoir établi pas moins de trois 8c+ sur le même site avec “Fusion lactique”, “Premier de cornée” et “Paix à son âme”, voici “Bulle d’air”, qui offre un effort assez court sur 15/20 mètres, avec des pinces et verticales évasées. Le crux principal est autour du 8A bloc en pas d’entrée (7 mouvements), avant une traversée et un 2ème pas de bloc sur pinces autour du 7C/+ bloc (5 mouvements). De quoi s’entraîner en puissance avant de repartir prochainement en Espagne où son premier chantier en 9b de l’année, “Stoking the fire” lui résiste toujours. “Bulle d’air” est la 6ème voie en 9ème degré du département après “Beyond”, “Legend”, “Kmira”, “Staphylocoque” et “Moksha”, toutes au Pic St-Loup.

French rockclimbing phenom Seb Bouin adds a new first ascent in the 9th grade in a secret spot of Hérault, France. After having etablished several 8c+ in the same area with “Fusion lactique”, “Premier de cornée” and “Paix à son âme”, comes “Bulle d’air”, 9a for a short and powerful effort on sloppy sidepulls and pinches. The main crux is at the beginning of the route with a 7 moves 8A boulder. This boulder is followed by an easy traverse, and a final 7C/+ 5 moves crux. A powerful effort as training for Seb’s current project, “Stoking the fire” in Santa Linya. “Bulle d’air” is the 6th route in the 9th grade of the department. The other are located in the superb Pic St-Loup cave (“Beyond”, “Legend”, “Kmira”, “Staphylocoque” and “Moksha”).
