Alors que Seb Bouin est en tournée aux États-Unis dans le cadre du nouveau Reel Rock 17 pour présenter le film de sa conquête de “DNA”, la voie fait enfin l’objet d’une visite de marque. Comme toujours après ses premières ascensions, le Français avait invité les meilleurs grimpeurs du monde à venir essayer sa king line de la Ramirole, qu’il a proposée à 9c.
Good things come to those who wait! Sur un coup de tête, après que Jorg Verhoeven lui a bien vendu le secteur, l’Autrichien Jakob Schubert s’est décidé à venir voir de quoi il retournait. Pour voir s’il aimerait, et plus si affinité.
Après les deux jours de travail qu’il s’est octroyés pour ce passage éclair, Schubert annonce avoir fait tous les mouvements, individuellement, et adorer aussi bien La Ramirole que “DNA”. Il y a donc affinité, et il y aura plus. Il décompose la voie en un 8C dans un 8A bloc suivi d’un autre 8A+ bloc (cotations bloc de Bouin, Jakob semble penser qu’elles pourraient être un peu plus dures) et enfin un 8c+.

While Seb Bouin is on tour in the United States as part of the new Reel Rock 17 to present the film of his conquest of “DNA”, a climber of note if finally checking out the route. After the two days of work that he granted himself for this reccie trip, Schubert announces that he has done all the movements, individually, and adores La Ramirole as well as “DNA”. So there is affinity, and there will be more. He breaks the route down as an 8c into an 8A boulder, a bad rest and another 8A+ boulder (these two grades are Bouin’s, Jakob seems to suggest they could be a bit harder), and finally an 8c+.
