Et de 5 8c à vue pour Janja Garnbret ! La double championne olympique slovène a annoncé faire une saison de compétition « light » en 2025 pour pouvoir performer en milieu naturel, pour notre plus grand bonheur ! Aperçue il y a quelques jours en Finlande pour s’essayer à « Burden of Dreams », voici que Janja remet le harnais et enfonce le clou dans son exercice préféré, le 8c à vue. Rappelez vous 2021, où « Fish Eye » puis « American Hustle » avaient été réalisés à Oliana (Catalogne), pour les premiers de l’histoire dans le niveau. En février dernier, elle remettait le couvert avec « Popolni Mrk » à domicile, à Misja Pec.

C’est une nouvelle fois juste à côté que Janja a surenchéri hier dans la grotte de Water World à Osp dans la même journée, empochant deux nouveaux 8c à vue, le conti « Osapska pošast » et le plus puissant « Working class hero ». La routine, preuve que le 8c à vue est presque dans sa zone de confort.

Maintenant, direction Céüse pour notre championne, avec surement dans le viseur « Bibliographie » que la slovène avait déjà défriché en septembre dernier (photo), pour tenter de conquérir le second 9b+ féminin ? Affaire à suivre !

And five 8c on sight for Janja Garnbret! The double Slovenian olympic champion announced a “light” competition season this year in order to be able to perform outside, much to our delight! Seen a few days ago in Finland trying hard “Burden of Dreams”, Janja is now back in a harness at her favorite exercise, 8c onsighting. Remember 2021, when “Fish Eye” and then “American Hustle” were first OSed by Janja in Oliana (Catalonia). Last February, she did it again with “Popolni Mrk” at home, in Misja Pec.

Janja outdid herself again yesterday, this time at the Water World cave in Osp, climbing two new 8c onsight on the same day, the stamina testpiece “Osapska pošast” and the more powerful “Working class hero”. Quite in her comfort zone then…

Now it’s on to Céüse for our champion, with for sure “Bibliographie” in her sights, which the Slovenian had already checked last September (photo), with the goal of conquering the second female 9b+? We’ll keep you posted!
