Dans la sublime Valle del’Orco dans les Alpes italiennes proche de Turin, Bernd Zangerl a ouvert en mai dernier “Il colonel sds”, le départ assis d’un bloc sur le granite de Noasca. Le départ debout en 8A+ de ce bloc très pur et engagé avait été ouvert par Nikky Ceria en janvier 2015, ascension qui avait nécessité un terrassement. Le départ assis rajoute trois mouvements très durs, et Bernd a passé plusieurs années à essayer ce problème avant d’en réaliser la première ascension : un heureux come back après son accident de bloc fin 2015. In superb Orco valley in Italian Alps close to Torino, Bernd Zangerl opened last May “Il colonel sds”, the sit-start of Nikky Ceria’s gem on Noasca granite. This pure line required to build a landing and Nikky did the stand start In January 2015 (8A+). The sit start version adds 3 difficult moves and Bernd Zangerl tried this problem during years before managing to grab the first ascent.
