On s’en souvient bien: en février 2013, le jeune Adam Ondra coiffait le roi Chris Sharma au poteau du premier 9b+ de l’histoire, “La Dura Dura”, après un beau partage du projet immortalisé dans un film de Reel Rock.
L’actualité du moment vient de remettre les deux noms en parallèle par le biais de deux vidéos fraîchement sorties du four. Pour sa part, le tchèque commente la première ascension de son dernier 9b, en Croatie, “B je to!”, tandis que Reel Rock, encore lui, nous dévoile quelques images aguichantes d’essais du vieux lion dans le 9b+ qu’il a libéré en mars dernier, “Sleeping Lion”, le second dans son escarcelle, au bel âge de 42 ans.
Difficile de rester insensible tant à la pureté des mouvements qu’à l’intensité de l’effort. Régalez-vous.

The current news has just brought the two names back together through two freshly baked videos. For his part, the Czech provides a commentary on the first ascent of his last 9b, in Croatia, “B je to!”, while Reel Rock, again, offers us some enticing images of the old lion’s attempts in the 9b+ that he freed last March, “Sleeping Lion”, the second in his portfolio, at the beautiful age of 42 years old.
Hard to remain indifferent to both the purity of the movements and the intensity of the effort. Enjoy.
