Le jeune talent Victor Guillermin revient sur la seconde ascension de l’incroyable voie “Avaatara” 9a dans le gouffre de Baatara au Nord du Liban au printemps 2023, une des voies les plus dures du Moyen-Orient avec “Climb free” (9a) libéré par Adam Ondra en Israël. La première ascension de cette voie assez originale datait de 2015, l’œuvre du regretté David Lama : les difficultés offrent 12 mouvements explosifs en guise de principales difficultés dans un dévers très prononcé, avec un crux atypique sur une lolotte contre-pointe et une arquée à viser ! Une voie que Victor arrivera à vaincre au dernier essai du dernier jour de son séjour sur place ! Le tout dans une ambiance souterraine et aquatique assez unique ! A visionner ci-dessous !
Young talent Victor Guillermin documents his second ascent of incredible “Avaatara” 9a route in the Baatara gorge waterfall in Northern Lebanon in spring 2023, one of the hardest routes in the Middle East with “Climb free” a 9a freed by Adam Ondra in Israel. The first ascent of this rather original route dates back to 2015, the work of the missing David Lama: the difficulties offer 12 explosive moves as main difficulties in a very strong overhang, with an atypical crux on a dropknee-toe hook to catch a crimp!
