Juste avant le flash par Seb Berthe, le vétéran de la grimpe Britannique Steve McClure, 52 ans, a lui aussi réalisé une répétition (7ème ascension) du “Voyage” (8b+ trad) à Annot, une ligné libérée par James Pearson en 2017. A noter que Steve ne s’est pas préparé spécifiquement pour cette voie, et n’avait pas fait de trad depuis sa répétition de “Lexicon” il y a un an. Une nouvelle fois, Steve a fait parler son expérience et sa technique redoutable pour accrocher cette belle voie à sa liste de croix déjà bien fournie !

Just before the flash by Seb Berthe, British climbing veteran Steve McClure, 52, also made a repeat (7th ascent) of the “Voyage” (8b+ trad) in Annot, a line first ascended by James Pearson in 2017. Find step by step Steve’s progress on the route, from discovering the moves and working the sections on top-rope to the successful lead attempt. Note that Steve did not prepare specifically for this route, and hadn’t climbed any trad route since his repeat of “Lexicon” a year ago. Once again, Steve showed his experience and his formidable technical skills to add this fine route to his already long ticklist!
