Le grimpeur polonais a réalisé cet été la 10iéme ascension de la voie (la 8ieme étant était celle de Seb Bouin qui proposait alors à l’époque une décote de 9a+ à 9a du fait d’une méthode plus simple). Piotr Schab est le grimpeur fort de Pologne avec notamment comme faits d’arme l’ascension de la voie la plus dure de Pologne, Stal Mielec 9a/+ et la répétition de Papichulo 9a+ à Oliana l’année dernière. Le lendemain de l’ascension de Thor’s Hammer il avait également enchainé à vue avec “Nordic flower”, 8c.

The Polish climber realized this summer the 10th ascent of the route (the 8th ascent was the one of Seb Bouin who proposed a downgrade from 9a+ to 9a due to an easier method). Piotr Schab is the strongest climber in Poland, he has sent for instance the Poland’s hardest route, Stal Mielec 9a/+ and has repeat Papichulo 9a + at Oliana, both last year. The day after having sent Thor’s Hammer, he had also onsighted “Nordic flower” 8c
