Adam Ondra vient de s’établir quelques mois en Italie en famille pour la saison hivernale car le Nord de l’Italie regorge de potentiel minéral, ce qui permet au prodige tchèque de davantage s’exprimer dehors qu’en république tchèque où il semble avoir fait le tour de la question de l’escalade autour de Brno. Adam vient de publier une longue vidéo Youtube annonçant le flash d’une des fissures les plus emblématiques d’Europe avec « Greenspit », la voie de trad mythique établie par Didier Berthod en vallée de l’Orco. Après avoir dégrossi les méthodes du crux qui se situe en fin de voie, optant pour la méthode originelle proposant de tenir sur un verrou inversé et d’effectuer un gros croisé, Adam Ondra s’élance pour le flash en plaçant les protections. Après un combat épique dont lui seul a le secret, avec sa dernière protection qui saute, Adam clippe le relais ! Un nouveau fait d’armes de plus pour lui dans le style, après les flashs de « Lexicon » un peu plus tôt cette année. Quelle est la suivante ? « Cobra crack » ?
Adam Ondra just settled in Italy with his family for a few months during the winter season, as Northern Italy offers a wealth of climbing potential. This allows the Czech prodigy to express himself more outdoors than in the Czech Republic, where he seems to have exhausted the climbing possibilities around Brno. Adam just posted a long YouTube video announcing his flash of one of Europe’s most iconic cracks with “Greenspit” the legendary trad route established by Didier Berthod in Valle dell’Orco. After working out the betas for the crux at the end of the route, opting for the original method of holding onto a sidepull lock and a big cross, Adam Ondra set off for the flash, placing the protections. After an epic battle that only he knows the secret to, with his last protection popping out, Adam clipped the belay! Another feat for him in this style, after flashing “Lexicon” earlier this year. What’s next in this style? “Cobra Crack”?
