“FFF” aka “Flesh For Fantasy” (9a) est une voie désormais mythique du Sud-Ouest de la France. Nichée à Supermanjoc (St-Antonin Noble Val) et équipée par Didier Raboutou, elle a été libérée par Manu Lopez en 2015. Après le pyrénéen Mattéo Marobin l’an dernier, c’est au tour du toulousain Fabrice Landry — qui d’ailleurs continue de vouloir développer activement le secteur, avec entre autres projets l’équipement d’une nouvelle voie extrême qui pourrait valoir le 9b, et il y a quelques temps la première ascension du “Consommateur” (9a), une variante plus facile de “Chicken Deluxe” (9a+). Précisions.
“Concernant “FFF”, je suis sorti très entamé du crux, j’ai rampé jusqu’en haut ! Deuxième essai de la journée. Avec le bébé (ndlr : Fabrice vient d’être papa), j’ai un entraînement moins régulier, ça se sent… Et encore, la semaine avant, je suis tombé sous le relais par de très mauvaises conditions, brouillard, humidité, en zippant de la main. Cette fois-ci, je la tenais ! Cela m’a pris deux séances pour caler la voie, deux pour prendre mes marques dans le crux du bas puis 3 pour faire la voie. Peut être 13/15 essais. Le secteur s’est beaucoup développé ces derniers temps avec de nombreux challenges extrêmes. Je pense notamment à “La boite de pandore”, un genre de “Supercrakinette” mais face nord (9a). Cette voie mériterait d’être plus connue. Il y a aussi “Mémorial”, “À la limite de la rupture”, “Chicken Deluxe”, toutes naturelles…. “FFF” est limite la moins intéressante de mon point de vue !
Répéter “Chicken Deluxe” demeure mon objectif numéro 1. J’ai aussi plein de projets entre le 8c et 9a à Supermanjoc ou au Triangle à terminer. Je pense à “King Kong”, une autre variante qui démarre par “Chicken”, emprunte le premier crux puis termine par le crux de la première partie de “No war”. On prend alors le repos et on termine par le cri de la belette. Genre deux gros 8c+ séparés par un bon repos… Au triangle, l’extension du 8c+ “Kamikaze” pour un 9a supplémentaire. Pure ligne naturelle. Et enfin, un peu d’équipement : on a ouvert avec Lucien une nouvelle ligne à Super. Un 9b, “Arqueur vaillant rien d’impossible”. Elle est située entre “Les disciples de Pyrhron” et “FFF”. Toutes les sections ont été réalisées… 100% naturelle, ligne complètement indépendante. Ce type de ligne ça ouvre l’esprit sur le potentiel restant dans nos gorges. Si ça passe là, alors ça passe quasi partout !”

“FFF” aka “Flesh For Fantasy” (9a) is a now legendary route in the South West of France. Located in Supermanjoc (St-Antonin Noble Val) and bolted by Didier Raboutou himself, it was freed for the first time by Manu Lopez in 2015. After the Pyrenean Mattéo Marobin last year, it is the turn of Toulouse’s Fabrice Landry, who continues to actively develop the area, with among other projects the bolting of a new extreme route which could be worth 9b, and some time ago the first ascent of “Le consommateur” (9a), an easier variant of “Chicken Deluxe” (9a+). Fabrice gives us more details.
“For FFF, I passed the crux and was completely pumped, and I really fought to the top! Second try of the day. With the baby (note: Fabrice just became a dad), I have less regular training… And again, the week before, I fell under the anchor in very bad conditions, fog, humidity, a hand slipped. This time, I caught it! It took me two sessions to reccie the route, two to get my betas in the lower crux then 3 to send the route. Maybe 13/15 tries. The sector has evolved a lot lately, with many new extreme challenges. I’m thinking in particular of “Boite de Pandore”, a kind of “Supercrakinette” but north-facing (9a). This route deserves to be better known. There is also “Memorial”, “A la limite de la rupture”, “Chicken Deluxe”, all natural.. .. “FFF” is in a way the least interesting, from my point of view!
Repeating “Chicken Deluxe” remains my number 1 objective. I also have lots of projects between 8c and 9a at Supermanjoc or at the Triangle to finish too. I’m thinking of “King Kong”, another variant that starts with “Chicken”, follows the first crux and then ends with the crux of the first part of “No war”. We then take the rest and end with “Le cri de la belette”. Like two big 8c+ to link, separated by a good rest… In the Triangle sector, the extension of the 8c+ “Kamikaze” for an additional 9a. Pure natural line. And finally, a bit of bolting, we opened a new super line with Lucien. A 9b, “Arqueur vaillant rien d’impossible”. It is located between “The Disciples of Pyrhron” and “FFF”. All sections have been done. 100% natural, a completely independent line. This type of line opens your mind to the potential remaining in the gorge. If it’s working there, then it will work almost everywhere!”
