L’américaine Alex Puccio est l’une des femmes avec le plus de blocs au-dessus de 8B en guise de carte de visite (déjà 26 8B !). Elle vient de réaliser son 5ème 8B+ bloc avec “Heritage” 8B+ à Valle Bavona en Suisse, un bloc ouvert par Carlo Traversi en 2012. Elle commente via 8a.nu :
“Wow contente! Premier essai de mon 6ème ou 7ème jour dedans. Je suis tombée dans le dernier mouvement du bloc 3 fois au 3ème jour, puis les jours suivants j’ai bataillé pour rester sur les prises en raison de la chaleur et de l’humidité! Finalement j’ai réussi le bloc un jour chaud mais venté, sans échauffement ! Dernier jour meilleur jour ! Ce bloc est un peu plus dur si tu es en-dessous d’une certaine taille. Tu dois lancer une contre pointe pour le premier crux pour aller à l’épaule main gauche et ensuite le mouvement pour aller à la main droite juste sous la lèvre st plus dur pour ma taille car je ne peux pas utiliser le bon pied gauche que tout le mond prend. Je dois du coup sauter sur la prise et contrôler le ballant. Un gros crux pour moi !”

American strong female climber Alex Puccio is the one with the most 8B boulders climbed in the world (26 ascents!). She just sent her 5th 8B+ in Valle Bavona, Switzerland, a boulder opened by Carlo Traversi in 2012. She comments on 8a.nu:
“Wow…. psyched! 1st try on my 6th or 7th day. I fell off the last move 3rd day on it 2 times and then for the next days I was struggling to stay on the wall due to the warmth and high humidity! Finally got a windy, but warm day. Didn’t even warm up. Last day best day!!!! 🙂
This boulder is way harder being under a certain height! Have to hop out of the toe hook for the first crux move to the left hand gaston and then the last move to the right hand just under the lip is WAY harder since for my height you can’t use the good left lower foot others use. Have to ball up and punch to the last hold. Was a huge crux for me!”
