Nouvelle grosse croix hier en forêt de Fontainebleau où le grimpeur local Nico Pelorson a réalisé la deuxième ascension de “Soudain seul” (ou “Big Island Assis”) à Coquibus Rumont. Ce bloc avait été libéré par le belge Simon Lorenzi début février et proposé 9A ! Nico avait coché le départ debout du bloc en 2018 et cela faisait plusieurs mois qu’il travaillait ce départ assis en compagnie de Camille Coudert, lui aussi très proche de l’enchaînement. Si Nico confirme le niveau, cela ferait de ce passage la seconde proposition en 9A bloc mondiale, avec le “Burden of dreams” de Nalle Hukkataival (le premier 9A bloc confirmé). Évidemment, plus d’infos à venir avec la réaction de l’intéressé et aussi la vidéo !
On rappelle que Simon Lorenzi a rebaptisé le bloc “Soudain Seul”, le titre du livre que lisait sa copine et qu’il avait placé sous sa genouillère pour pouvoir mieux coincer un genou dans la première partie du bloc (du assis au debout).

New big send yesterday in Font! Local climber Nico Pelorson claimed the second ascent of “Soudain Seul” (aka “Big Island Sit”) in Coquibus Rumont. This boulder was first ascended at the beginning of February by Belgian beast Simon Lorenzi and given 9A. Nico did the stand start in 2018 and had been trying the sit-start for months with Camille Coudert, who is also close.
If Nico confirms the grade it will be the second 9A boulder proposition in the world after “Burden of dreams”, and the first 9A boulder with 2 ascents. More info to come with some thoughts by Nico and the video of the send!
For the anecdote, note that the name of the boulder “Soudain Seul” given by Lorenzi comes from the title of the book his girlfriend was reading during his sessions. Simon stuffed it in his kneepad to improve a crucial kneebar move on the first part of the boulder, and was able to send thanks to literature!

Néanmoins, qui a confirmé le 9a de Nalle (Burden of dreams)? Il n’ y a pas eu de répétition, ça reste une proposition, il me semble (No K pote a vite été décoté.). De plus, Nicolas Pelorson, n’a pas non plus confirmé.
