Yannick Flohé et « Excalibur » (9b+) à Arco, Alex Megos qui expédie la seconde ascension de « Red Ram » (9a+) à Montserrat en 3 petits essais (en 2022), voici deux vidéos qui viennent d’être mises en ligne montrant l’étalage de toute la puissance des deux grimpeurs allemands, notamment en tenue de prises, Frankenjura style !
« Excalibur », réalisé en fin d’année dernière, aura coûté 19 séances à Yannick, notamment en raison de son côté très rude pour la peau des doigts, un projet de « longue haleine » donc pour Flohé. « Red Ram » propose aussi un test de puissance en doigts, mais la voie aura plié dans la séance pour Alex, en 3 petits essais, assuré par le premier ascensionniste, Ramon Julian Puigblanque qui avait libéré la voie en 2013. Assurément pas le même processus de travail mais une réelle prouesse dans les deux cas ! Doigts sensibles, s’abstenir de visionner ces images !

‘Excalibur’, completed at the end of last year, took Yannick 19 sessions, largely due to its particularly harsh impact on the skin of his fingers – a ‘long-haul’ project of sorts for Flohé, then. ‘Red Ram’ also tests finger strength, but the route went down for Alex in just three short attempts, belayed by the first ascentionist, Ramon Julian Puigblanque, who had freed the route in 2013. Certainly not the same approach, but a real feat in both cases! If you have sensitive fingers, you might want to give these clips a miss!
