Bouin et Ondra toujours aussi efficaces – Bouin and Ondra strike again

Seb Bouin et Adam Ondra, parmi les meilleurs falaisistes mondiaux, sont deux bons copains. Alors que Jakob Schubert leur soufflait sous le nez la première ascension de “B.IG.” à Flatanger, une voie équipée par Adam il y a 10 ans, l’autrichien proposant le 3ème 9c mondial, les deux compères ne se sont pas laissés abattre…

Seb est dans le Nord-Est de l’Italie où il vient de réaliser une répétition de “Lapsus”, la célèbre voie dure d’Andonno libérée par Stefano Ghisolfi en 2015 (5ème ascension). A l’époque le premier 9b d’Italie, cette connexion entre le 8c+ historique de “Noia” et le 8b+ de “Anaconda” avec un bon crux de connexion au milieu offre un diabolique effort d’endurance. Comme les derniers ascensionnistes, Seb penche plutôt pour 9a+ pour cette dernière qui avait été proposée 9b initialement par Stefano. L’italien, beau joueur, a reconnu qu’avec les genouillères et les nouvelles méthodes trouvées, la décote était logique.
Concernant Adam, c’est en Croatie qu’il a sévi avec la première ascension de la voie la plus dure du pays, “B je to!” dans la grotte de Vranjača, une ligne qu’il avait équipée lors de ses vacances en famille là-bas en août. La voie propose un furieux crux. Au second jour de son nouveau séjour là-bas, Adam a finalement réussi l’enchainement et propose 9b.

Seb is in North-East Italy, where he has just completed a repeat of “Lapsus”, the famous hard route located at Andonno freed by Stefano Ghisolfi in 2015 (5th ascent). At the time Italy’s first 9b, this link between historic 8c+ of “Noia” and “Anaconda” (8b+) with a good connecting crux in the middle offers a diabolical effort of endurance. Like the latests repetitors, Seb is giving 9a+ for this one, which Stefano had initially proposed as an 9b. Stefano admitted that, with the knee pads and the new betas found, the downgrade was logical.
Adam came to Croatia with the first ascent of the country’s hardest route, “B je to!” in the Vranjača cave, a line he boltedd during a family vacation there in August. The route offers a furious crux. On the second day of his new stay there, Adam finally managed the route and proposed 9b. Look at the line below!
